Hina Matsuri (Hina Dolls Festival) on March 3rd

　Hina Dolls 　

We have traditional festival called Hina Matsuri (the Festival of Dolls or the Girl's Day) on March 3rd in Japan. 　People display graceful dolls in ancient court costumes on a tier of 5 or 7 shelves covered with scarlet cloth. 　These dolls represent the Emperor and Empress, or the Prince and Princess, the 3 court ladies, the 2 ministers and the 5 court musicians. 　The girls are expected to be as elegant and beautiful as these courtly ladies.　　Parents wish their daughter a good future and happy marriage.
